DuriAgro Berhad is a public company limited by shares incorporated on 20 October 2020 in Malaysia.

It is principally an investment holding company that invests in companies focusing on agriculture, specifically the cultivation of the D197 variety of durian known as “Raja Kunyit” which is deemed as the origin of the “Musang King” on a large scale.

The Heart of Durian Cultivation

The company views huge business potential in durian plantations and is developing projects in the state of Kelantan, Malaysia. Kelantan is 300 km by road from Kuala Lumpur City The state of Kelantan is widely accepted as the origin of Raja Kunyit which this variety of durian was registered in 1993 and originated from Kelantan. Today, this location continues to be the most conducive area for the cultivation of this variety of durians, in terms of soil composition, topography and climatic conditions.

Our Modern Approach

The Company’s business strategy is to develop a model for modern plantation, employing sustainable and technology-driven systems such as the deployment of smart farming systems, systematic irrigation, and live CCTV monitoring to monitor and grow the trees cost-efficiently. More importantly, these modern systems are designed to create a nurturing and conducive environment for the trees to produce high quality durian fruits consistently.

Our Plantations

The company has plantation sites planted trees in Gua Musang and Kuala Krai (Sungai Durian), Kelantan with a land size of 3200 acres and continues securing suitable land (more than 1000 acres) for further development. The planted trees are expected to be harvested in the year 2026.

Partnering with Experts

Throughout the years, the company has created a sustainable operational management team and established Agro-Tech partnerships with leading research universities to further the prospects of modern, sustainable farming. DuriAgro Berhad has engagement with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to conduct research and development on soil, nutrients, fertilizers, planting techniques and materials to achieve optimum cultivation for the durian plantation.

Our Commitment to Quality

The durian trees and durian seedlings in the nursery were certified by the Department of Agriculture, Putrajaya in March 2021. This assures that the durian trees planted and crops are healthy and genuine.
